President-elect : Presidential election in Iran changed regional, international equations

TEHRAN – Iran’s President-elect Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here Wednesday that the 9th presidential elections in Iran changed regional and international equations in favor of the Iranian nation.
In a meeting with the members of Policy Making Council of Friday Prayer leaders here on Wednesday, Ahmadinejad said the elections boosted Iran’s national strength and elevated the Islamic Republic’s status in the international arena, IRNA reported.
Ahmadinejad said that Iranian officials should make maxi¬mum benefit of such a “historical chance” to serve masses and promote national dignity.
He said enemies of Islamic Iran have launched poisonous propaganda campaign in a bid to convince world people that the Iranian nation has changed from a progressive nation to a nation bowing to foreign dictates.
He went on to say that high public turnout in the elections proved falsehood of enemies’ analysis and made them angry.
Ahmadinejad said his government will belong to the whole nation and people from various ethnic, religions and tribal backgrounds will have a fair share in public services.
