Iran, Tajikistan Ink 5 MoUs

The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Tajikistan here on Wednesday signed five Memoranda of Understanding (MoU). The agreements, which were endorsed by the relevant officials of the two countries, pertain to cooperation in areas of energy, industries, tunnel excavation and building, transportation, trade and commerce.

The two sides also signed an agreement on cooperation between the two countries’ chambers of commerce and industries and one more between their radio and TV organizations.

Also during the same meeting, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon signed a joint statement.
