FM Protests at Maltreatment of Iranian Officials by Moscow Police

A02995617.jpgIranian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday voiced protest at the abnormal treatment of an Iranian parliamentary delegation by the Moscow Airport police. The issue was raised during a meeting between head of the Foreign Ministry’s department for Commonwealth Affairs and Russian charge de affair to Tehran, a statement released by the Foreign Ministry’s Information and Press Bureau said, adding that the diplomat was called in absence of the country’s ambassador to Tehran.

During the meeting, the Iranian official reminded that the two countries’ relations do not deserve such cases.

For his part, the Russian charge de affair voiced regret over the problem, and said that he would immediately inform his country’s officials about the issue.
