Ahmedinejad:Attacks in Algeria cannot be accepted

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad strongly condemned recent terrorist attacks in Algeria on Tuesday, saying that murdering defenseless people is “unacceptable.”
“Killing defenseless people is unacceptable according to all human principles,” said the president in a message of condolences sent to his Algerian counterpart Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
Expressing Tehran’s strong protest regarding the attacks, President Ahmadinejad reiterated Iran’s solidarity with the government and people of Algeria.
More than 50 people were killed in two terrorist bombings in east and southeast Algiers. The north Africa wing of the al-Qaeda terrorist organization dubbed ‘the al-Qaeda Organization in the Islamic Maghreb,’ has later announced that it was behind the two bombings.
The first bombing happened on Thursday in Batna town, 400 km southeast of the Algerian capital, killing 19 people and injuring 107 others while the second attack occurred in the port of Dellys, some 100 km east of Algiers.
The second blast left 40 dead and injured.
