Iran Cooperates with Asia in Energy

Iran is ready to promote economic cooperation with Asian states, particularly in energy field, first Deputy Foreign Minister Ali-Reza Sheikh Attar said on Thursday.  

 

Addressing the second Euro-Asia Economic Forum, the officials said Iran is one of the major sources of energy in the region given its potentials and capacities in this connection. 

 

The two-day forum opened in the city of Xi’an, capital of northwestern Shaanxi province Thursday morning with the participation of 1,400 delegates from more that 20 countries including Iran. 

 

Attar encouraged all Asians as well as other countries to “use the chance” and promote their cooperation with Tehran in economic fields, energy in particular. 

 

He noted that Tehran had adopted new policies to facilitate foreign investment in the country.
