Speaking in a meeting with IRGC’s chief of joint staff, the head of Oman’s visiting military delegation noted the two sides’ motivation for the further expansion of military relations.

“We have the duty to put into effect the emphasis of the two countries’ leaders on the expansion of relations, and military ties set one of the most important areas in the expansion of our relations,” he added.

General Saud Bin Soleyman Bin Naser al-Hasbi said training has grown into a significant source of concern for his country’s armed forces, and continued, “We are keen to use IRGC’s training centers in a bid to remove our problems by using the expertise and experiences of the IRGC and we intend to remove our limitations in the training sector by the help of your facilities and possibilities.”

He further underlined the positive effects and aftermaths of the meetings of the two countries’ joint commission, adding that many issues have been resolved through the exchange of views and consultations of the two sides.

The General praised Iran’s trust in Oman, and said that security has been established in the two countries’ joint waters as a result of cooperation between Iranian and Omani armed forces.

He also expressed the hope that the two sides would soon embark on joint war games in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
