Iran, Croatia Enjoy Ample Commonalities to Expand Ties

A00182125.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad underlined affinity of the Iranian and Croatian nations, and viewed the two countries’ historical and cultural commonalities as desirable grounds for the establishment of consolidated and extensive relations between the two states.

Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a meeting with Croatia’s incoming ambassador to Tehran, where he noted the abundant grounds existing for the two counties’ mutual cooperation, and said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran perceives no limit to the expansion of ties with Croatia and we can develop our mutual relations independent of others.”

He further voiced Tehran’s preparedness to boost cooperation with Croatia in such areas as science, technology, energy, industry, agriculture and trade.

For his part, the Croatian envoy voiced pleasure in the expansion of bilateral relations with Tehran, and stressed his country’s resolve to further deepen ties with the Islamic Republic.

Reminding that the two countries’ political ties contain no negative point, he called for the utilization of the abundant potentials and possibilities existing for the promotion of mutual relations and cooperation.
