Iran, India to Strengthen Cultural Ties

A03860317.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Officials of Iran and India agreed to expand the cooperation among the educational institutions to strengthen the cultural relations between the two old civilizations.

This was agreed during the meeting of Dr. Karim Najafi, the Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in New Delhi Wednesday with India’s Human Resources Development Minister Arjun Singh.

Najafi in his meeting with Singh proposed better relations between the universities of the two countries. He also extended an invitation to the minister to visit Iran Culture House on the occasion of seminars and conferences as it will help in strengthening the cultural relations between the two countries.

Arjun Singh while accepting the invitation assured the Iranian delegation of expanding the educational cooperation.

Najafi met Singh to express Tehran’s gratitude for the invaluable message of the human resource development minister on the occasion of Sa’di Award function held on 10th of February this year.

During their meeting, Najafi also presented a valuable book on Iran and a photograph of Arjun Singh related to the Persian Refresher Course which took place 15 years back.

While expressing happiness Singh conveyed thanks to Najafi for reminiscing about the old memories, associated with Iranian Culture, and making such memories alive.
