Iranian Border Police Chief Meets Azeri Counterpart

A01528087.jpgTEHRAN (FNA) – Good relations between Iran and Azerbaijan have been conducive to the development of partnership and cooperation between the two sides’ border officials, the chief of the State Border Service of the Azerbaijan Republic said.

Speaking at a meeting between the border commanders of Iran and Azerbaijan at Shahid Ghaffari district of the Parsabad town, Elcin Quliyev also said that over the last eight months, it is the third joint meeting between the two countries’ border officials and we have no special unresolved problems now.

He added that good relations and border partnership between the countries must set an example for other countries.

The commander of the border guards of the Iranian Law Enforcement Police, for his part, pointed out the importance of such meetings for development of friendship between the two nations, adding, “Despite 700km of land and water borders, we have high-level security and border partnership.”

The recent agreements and this meeting will further develop relations between the two countries, Brigadier General Qasem Rezayee said.
