The Romanian Liberal Party on Tuesday submitted a motion against the two party ruling coalition demanding the annulment of a series of measures introduced by the country’s education ministry.
Liberals say that measures such as cutting the number of sports classes being held at primary schools will affect the health of the pupils, as many of them are already fat due to an over sedentary lifestyle.
On their part, education ministry representatives have said the motion is without merit, given that the framework strategy of the ministry was established together with the unions that are active in education.
The government is made up of a coalition between the center right democrats and leftist Social Democratic Party.
