Energy minister to represent Russia at conference in Bulgaria

MOSCOW, April 22 – Bulgarian Premier Sergei Stanishev will visit Moscow on April 27 and will meet with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, the Russian premier’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

He said, “Stanishev’s visit to Moscow is scheduled for April 27 to be used for discussion of bilateral relations and themes of the energy conference, taking into account its results.” 

Peskov said, “ Russia’s representation at the conference at expert level is expedient, and the Russian delegation will be led by Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko.”

“There has been no official announcement about a visit of the Russian premier to the energy forum in Sofia,” sources in the Russian delegation said.
