Macedonia’s government holds session on EU integration

Macedonian government will hold session to review issues related to EU integration. Macedonia expects negotiation date for EU membership from EU Council on December 7.

Greece opposes the start of accession talks until the two neighbors solve the name issue, while Macedonia hopes for progress similar to Slovenia-Croatia dispute settlement.

“Namely, both the countries did not find a solution to their dispute, but they agreed to move the whole issue to arbitration and Slovenia lifted the blockage for the continuation of negotiations with the EU”, Macedonia’s Deputy Prime Minister for EU integrations Vasko Naumovski said.

Macedonia saluted Nimetz’s initiative to quick name solving.
