Visa lifting unlikely for Bosnians in June

Bosnia will not get on the white Schengen list in July, experts of the EU and Bosnia working on the visa regime liberalization have agreed.

Tanja Fajon, European Parliament rapporteur on visa liberalization in the Western Balkans, confirmed that visa liberalization is possible in July, but that the date seems too optimistic from today’s perspective.

“I believe that July is out of reach for several reasons, but it is good that we have at least started talking about earlier dates thanks to the pressure and efforts from Slovenia,” said Fajon.

She said that the reason for a possible postponement of a visa liberalization decision is a certain delay in procedures for the visa liberalization by the European Union Commission.
