President of Cyprus: future Cypriot EU presidency is a historic challenge

President of Cyprus Dimitris Hristofyas described as a historic challenge the Cypriot EU Presidency in the second half of 2012. Cyprus officially for the first time will take over the six-month rotating EU Presidency in July 2012. The presented today website of the Cypriot Presidency is hosting the welcoming statement of the head of state in which he says that as a state chairing the EU, Cyprus will also aim to contribute to this Union to play the role of the force of progress, peace, stability and prosperity in the international arena. The official website will run a few weeks before Cyprus to take over the EU Presidency.
