Greek President to visit Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Greece Rahman Mustafayev recently announced that Greek President Karolos Papoulias will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan in the first half of 2011. Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev state visit to Greece in February 2009 led to a significant revival of bilateral ties and relations and increased interest of the Greek political and business elite in Azerbaijan. The return visit of the Greek President shows that Athens pays great attention to cooperation with Azerbaijan. Mustafayev noted that this year there were several Azerbaijani officials’ visits to Greece.
