A Tunisian government’s spokesman condemned on Thursday the Egyptian army’s “disproportionate use of force” against protesters.
Tunisia calls on Egyptian security forces to stop using violence, stressing the need to restart the transitional process, according to a communique issued by the spokesman.
The latest developments in Egypt which have left more than 500 people dead also triggered a series of condemnation among Tunisia’ s political class.
Head of the main opposition party in the country, Nida Tounes, said he was against the use of force against unarmed civilians while condemning the burning of Coptic churches during the recent events in Egypt.
