After conflict over possession of displaced family’s house | Turkish-backed factions amass troops in rural Afrin

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have monitored Turkish-backed factions amassing their affiliated members, this evening, in Jendires district in the western countryside of Afrin, after Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement had arrested a person from Rif Dimashq following a conflict over possession of a house he living in. it is worth noting that this house belongs to a family who have been displaced from Jendires.

Yesterday, SOHR sources said that the Turkish-backed “al-Hamza Division” launched a security campaign, storming a large number of civilian houses in Ba’ya village in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside. The division arrested 15 people and took them to its prisons for unknown reasons. This development came after the Division deployed a large number of security checkpoints at the village’s entrances and the residential neighbourhoods.

Meanwhile, reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory that members of the Turkish-backed al-Sham Corps arrested a woman from the village of Fafertin in Shirawa district in rural Afrin for unknown reasons.

On December 8, SOHR sources reported that gunmen of the Turkish-backed “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” faction arrested four people from Jendires district, including two women, and they were taken later to the factions’ prisons, for unknown reasons.
