Moldova: Communists will not participate in improving the electoral legislation

Republic of Moldova Party of Communists (PCRM) declares it will not participate in the specialized Parliamentary Committee on improving electoral legislation.

Communists believe that the existent electoral legislation, tested by the Council of Europe (CoE) and the Committee of CoE from Venice, is equilibrated and meets all European requirements and standards.

A statement diffused by PCRM mentions that, communists supposed they would participate in the legislative improvement and “not in the integral change of the electoral legislation provisions”.

„The changes are made to the interest of political parties that the new parliamentary majority represents, and the liberal-democratic coalition proposes to change the game rules durin the game”, communists think.
