Chavez Victory a Gravestone on Bush’s Measures

Speaking to reporters on the occasion of Chavez’s victory in the presidential elections here on Tuesday, the diplomat further stressed that reelection of Chavez by Venezuelans signed and sealed the domestic and foreign policies of that country.

“Through this presidential election, the Venezuelan nation showed to the world that under peaceful conditions, transformation can happen in a society,” he said.

According to Ramirez, the recent election results proved that all the efforts by the Bush administration to change the ruling system in Venezuela have failed.

He also pointed to the recent elections in the US, and stressed, “It is now the time to tell the Bush administration that it has to alter its policies on Latin America.”
