Serbian Justice Minister Snezana Malovic and her Croatian counterpart Drazen Bosnjakovic met on Wednesday in Zagreb. The meeting focused on resuming dialogue and solving outstanding issues regarding war crimes.
The two ministers agreed that all problems should be resolved jointly in both countries’ interest.
The two sides agreed that copies of documents regarding the case of Tihomir Purda should be handed over to the Croatian judiciary, Malovic said.
The ministers concluded that Zagreb would receive, within a week’s time, data that has been collected so far on Croatian citizens who were tried or convicted by former Yugoslav military courts before 2003 as well as on those under investigation in Serbia for war crimes for whom international or national arrests warrants have been issued.
Proceedings against Serbian citizens sentenced in absentia should be reopened in Croatia, the two ministers agreed.
