TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a meeting with Singaporean parliament speaker here on Thursday stressed that Asian countries should play a complementary role in various areas in a bid to pave the ground for the progress of nations.
A report released by the Presidential Press Office said that also during the meeting, the president stressed that development and expansion of ties and friendly and brotherly cooperation among independent states, specially Asian countries, plays a crucially effective role in the establishment of global peace and security.
“Asian states should make use of their abundant potentials in different grounds and act complementary to one another in various areas to pave the ground for the progress and welfare of their nations,” he said.
Ahmadinejad also mentioned that the progress of each independent nation belongs to all other free and independent countries of the world, and further voiced Iran’s preparedness to transfer its valuable achievements in different grounds to all independent states of the world, including the Asian ones.
Also noting the common views shared by the two countries’ officials in various spheres, he stated Iran’s preparedness to develop cooperation and relations with Singapore in different political and economic grounds.
For his part, Singaporean parliament speaker pointed to Iran’s progress in different scenes, and stressed that his country attaches significance to relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He further called for the transfer of Iran’s achievements and experiences in different areas to his country and expansion of ties between the two states in all areas, specially trade and investment.
The chief legislative official also viewed as well-principled policy Iran’s intention for the sharing of its power and transferring its progresses to other world countries, saying that the measure serves the progress of other nations.
He also mentioned that cooperation among the world countries in various areas, the international issues in particular, plays an influential role in the restoration of global peace and security.
