Greek Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos has announced that he resigns.
The reason for his resignation is that he plans to become chairman of the socialist party PASOK.
PASOK chairperson will be elected on Sunday, 18 March. Evangelos Venizelos is the only candidate for the post, which will practically guarantee his election.
