Syrian air force bomb northwest suburb of Damascus

imgThe Syrian air force bombed a northwest suburb of Damascus Wednesday, killing eight people and violated a truce that had been in place since October, activists said.

“Seven men were killed in air strikes against the edges of Qudsaya and eighth man was shot by a sniper in the army,” the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

Among the dead were an unknown number of anti-regime activists, said the group based in Britain.

Rebels in Qudsaya had reached a truce with the regime in October, after which the rebels and pro-regime local militia set up located checkpoints there.
