Four (04) terrorists were killed Wednesday, in Medea, by a detachment of the People’s National Army (ANP) in an operation that is still ongoing said, Thursday, the ministry of National Defence in a communiqué.
“As part of the fight against terrorism, a detachment of the People’s National Army killed, on 08 June 2016 at 10:00 p.m., four (04) terrorists following an ambush in Rouakeche, in the town of Baata, province of Medea (1st Military Region) and recovered four (04) Kalashnikov-type submachine guns and a quantity of munitions. A shelter and a homemade bomb were destroyed. The operation is still ongoing,” said the source.
“Furthermore, and as part of securing borders and the fight against organized crime, units of the border guards seized in Bechar (3rd military region), an all-terrain vehicle loaded with 375.8 kilograms of cannabis resin and a quantity amounting to 129 kilograms in Tlemcen (2nd military region),” concluded the ministry.
