The IDF attack was carried out in response to rocket fire from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory earlier last night.
IDF fighter jets and aircraft attacked a number of terror targets in the Gaza Strip on Friday night after a rocket landed in an open field in Israel, the military announced.
Rocket sirens sounded on Friday evening in Sde Avraham and Holit, both located along the southern Gaza Strip border.
Soon after, the IDF and local authorities revealed that a rocket was spotted landing in an open field, causing no injury.
This comes after another rocket landed in an open area in Israeli territory on Thursday evening, setting off rocket sirens in Sderot, Ibim and Nir Am in southern Israel.
Following the Friday attack, an IDF spokesperson announced that fighter jets and other aircraft attacked a number of terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip in retaliation.
