Mojahedin Enghelab Eslami, a leftist organization and a supporter of the 2nd of Khordad Movement, in a message here on Tuesday strongly condemned the recent efforts made by the US to label the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist group. The statement said the organization believes that the US measure is merely aimed at laying pressure on Iran to take concessions from the Islamic Republic in the two sides’ bilateral talks, “and that it may not be put into effect officially.”
It also said, “Mojahedin Enghelab Eslami organization strongly condemns any decision and measure which targets the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, a body born from the Islamic Revolution and guarding the independence and territorial integrity of the country… .”
The statement also said that raising such issues displays widening differences between Iran and the US over the nuclear issue.
