Armed Bank Robbers Steal Millions, Wound Security in Tehran

A gang of three armed robbers broke into a branch of Iran’s Melli Bank here in Tehran on Saturday and took 72 mln Tomans away after they wounded a security guard. Witnesses said the bank robbers who fled away in a silver Samand changed their license plate a few streets away from the bank.

The police said investigations are underway.

There are yet no reports on the health conditions of the wounded guard who was taken to a nearby hospital immediately after the incident.
