Amphibious warship USS Fort McHenry (LSD-43) pulled into Romanian port Constanta on Monday, in the first Black Sea visit by a U.S. Navy ship since Russian forces seized a trio of Ukrainian naval vessels in the region.

The US military says it has carried out an airstrike in Somalia that killed 10 members of the al-Shaabab extremist group. The US Africa Command statement says the airstrike occurred on Wednesday near Dheerow Sanle to “diminish al-Shabab’s freedom of movement and to increase pressure on the terrorist network.”
