Mali’s new president, Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, on Wednesday dissolved an army reform committee dominated by former members of a military junta after blasting disgruntled officers for staging an unruly protest at a military base earlier this week.

The attack on the Russian embassy in Tripoli on Wednesday left one attacker dead and four others were injured, according to the Libyan government. The Russian Foreign Ministry has confirmed that the embassy was attacked, stating that none of the diplomats were injured.
