TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Cooperative of Khorassan Publishers is in talks with Ahmad Shah Masoud Foundation to procure funds for holding Iranian Book Fair in Kabul.
Following the refusal of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry to finance the holding of Iranian book exhibitions in Herat and Kabul, Khorassan Publishers Cooperative entered into talks to procure the money for the exhibition from Ahmad Shah Masoud Foundation, the results of which have been positive.
The cooperative has also located the venue for the book fair.
Head of the cooperative’s board of directors, Hossein Moini, in a letter to Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Mohammad Hossein Saffar-Harandi has sought financial assistance from the ministry. “At least one billion rials will be needed for organizing the Iranian Book Fair in Kabul,” he noted.
