Resistance is the legal right of the Palestinian people, Iran’s Expediency Council Chairman Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said. Speaking in a meeting with Palestinian ambassador to Tehran Salah Zawawi here on Sunday, Rafsanjani stressed that establishment of peace, stability and calm in the Middle-East is subject to the restoration of the Palestinians’ rights and repatriation of millions of Palestinian refugees.
“Previous experience shows that dialogue with the Zionist regime is of no use and it can’t restore Palestinians’ rights,” he continued.
For his part, Salah Zawawi underlined Iran’s significant and principal role in the region, and briefed Rafsanjani about the latest conditions in Palestine and occupied territories as well as the impacts of continued pressures exerted on the Palestinian nation by political and economic sanctions.
