Iran Stands 9th among Grain Producers in Asia

A009056845.jpgThe international Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) introduced Iran, with an annual production rate of 23 mln tons, as the 9th producer of gains among Asian states in 2006. In its latest report, FAO also predicted an increasing trend for Iran’s grain production, saying that the figure would rise to 23.5 mln tons this year.

According to the same report, china India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, turkey, Thailand and Pakistan were the first 8 producers of grains in the Asian continent in 2006.
