A delegation headed by Prime Minister Vlad Filat will be in Brussels during December 20-22 to take part in the meeting of the Moldova-EU Cooperation Council.
The delegation consists of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca, two more persons from the Foreign Ministry and Moldova’s Chief Ambassador to the European Union.
Iurie Leanca said the meeting was an important event where there will be discussed the cooperation prospects in a number of areas, especially in 2010.
On the other hand, the meeting was important because it will take place before the first round of talks on the new agreement between Moldova and the EU scheduled for January 12, 2010.
Premier Vlad Filat instructed the persons in charge to thoroughly prepare for the third round of talks. He voiced hope that the talks on the liberalization of the visa regime for Moldova will also start next year.
