Matthew Nimetz visit-opportunity for Macedonia, Greece

The visit of the UN Mediator in the name dispute between Greece and Macedonia Matthew Nimetz visit, scheduled for the end of February or the beginning of March, is a new opportunity for both countries to present their positions once again. Meanwhile, Nimetz attendance in the acceleration of the negotiation process could be stimulated. This was the conclusion of the meeting between Macedonian foreign minister Antonio Milososki and Greek deputy foreign minister Dimitris Drucas, held in London.

Mislososki noted after the meeting the two have talked about the name issue and the usage of Macedonia’s constitutional name. In his words Greece has expressed reserves over Macedonia’s initiative on increasing the level of the diplomatic agencies of the two countries in Athens and Skopje.
