A person suspected of war crimes in northern Albania was arrested near Đakovica, according to the EU mission in Kosovo (EULEX).
“The case is related to the ongoing EULEX investigation of the possible abuse of persons held in KLA camps in northern Albanian during the conflicts in 1998-1999,” according to the statement.
EULEX adds that two other suspects have been identified in the case.
Serbian officials believes that in 1999, the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) members took kidnapped Serbs to northern Albania and extracted their organs in order to sell them later on the black market.
