US Ambassador to Macedonia: US wants to see Macedonia in NATO

We would like to see Macedonia in NATO, but we are not sure whether that will happen by November summit, as the summit won’t address NATO enlargement, US Ambassador to Macedonia Philip Reeker said, when asked about the framework for solving name issue by November.

Solving name row between Skopje and Athens will enable Macedonia to join NATO by the start of November summit.

Reeker expressed hope for sooner name settlement between Macedonia and Greece.

I salute the meetings between the two prime ministers in the past period and hope name issue will be solved soon. Name settlement will be of great advantage for the two countries as well as for the entire region and of course the Alliance, US Ambassador to Macedonian Philip Reeker said.
