Representatives of Bulgaria and Russia are going to discuss details on the road map for the South Stream gas pipeline project Friday.
The Bulgarian party, headed by minister of economy and energy Traicho Traikov, welcomes a Russian delegation, headed by energy minister Sergey Smatko at the seaside Euxinograd government residence near Bulgaria’s Varna.
The meeting will involve representatives from both ministries, as well as from Bulgarian companies Bulgargaz, Bulgartransgaz and Bulgarian Energy Holding and Russian companies Gazprom and Gazpromexport.
Talk about a “road map” involving details for the completion of joint South Stream pipeline project started after a Russian delegation to Sofia, headed by deputy-PM Viktor Zubkov, achieved a breakthrough in talks with the Bulgarian side, fronted by initially reluctant PM Boyko Borisov.
