UN Secretary General: Macedonia-Greece name dispute should find solution

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said in Strasbourg that he hopes that with the mediation of his special envoy Matthey Nimetz there will be soon a solution to the Athens-Skopje name dispute. “I know that there are historical reasons, which bear effect on this issue. I met the leaders of the two countries and I know that the different positions should be taken into consideration but there is also a need to find a solution to the name row as soon as possible,” Ban Ki-moon said.
