Croatian police arrested on Monday (November 8th) former Bjelovar wartime official Jure Simic on suspicion of war crimes committed against prisoners of war during the 1991-1995 conflict. Prosecutors say Simic ordered the murder of three members of the former Yugoslav Army, part of a larger group of military officers captured by Croatian forces at military barracks in Bjelovar in September 1991.
