Serbian PM meets new head of the EU mission in Kosovo

Serbian Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic met on Monday with the new head of the EU mission in Kosovo, EULEX, Bernd Borchardt.

Dacic insisted during the meeting that EULEX, together with KFOR and UNMIK, should secure full protection of citizens in Kosovo and Metohija.

He expressed his concern over various forms of ethnic violence against Serbs and other members of the non-Albanian communities in Kosovo, who are still prevented from exercising basic rights and freedoms.

“The Serbian government is ready for a coordinated cooperation with the EULEX mission, which is due to be status-neutral and to secure safety and enforcement of rights of all citizens in line with international acts and standards,” Dacic said.
