Russia ratifies treaty on Crimea

The Russian parliament approved a treaty to Crimea part of Russia as well as Ukraine declared the area an “occupied territory” and threatened to go nuclear.

The State Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament on Thursday ratified the Treaty on the annexation of Crimea to Russia signed two days back.

Ukraine has responded to the Russian approach with a flurry of legislative initiatives, ranging from visa for Russia to acquire nuclear weapons to stop the “invasion” of Russia.

The Ukrainian Parliament adopted a declaration stating that “the Ukrainian people will never, under any circumstances, stop fighting for the liberation of Crimea occupants.”
