Iraqi Ambassador in Ankara presents credentials to Turkish President

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Ankara, Talal Jamil Al-Oubadi presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Gul.

A statement by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry cited “After the presentation ceremony, the Turkish President in the presence of his Senior Adviser for Middle East Affairs met the Iraqi Ambassador where they discussed the bilateral relations.”

“The Turkish President expressed his appreciation for Iraq and his country’s desire to develop the relations between the two countries, stressing Turkey’s position in supporting sovereignty and integrity of the Iraqi territories,” the statement added.

“The Director General of Protocol Department at the Turkish Foreign Ministry and Ministry’s staff presented their congratulations on this occasion,” the statement concluded.
