The outcome of the research work and scientific achievements of the specialists of the Iranian navy and defense industries were put on display at the exhibition, which was held at Imam Khomeini Naval Academy in the northern port city of Noshahr.

In an address to a group of army commanders following his visit, Ayatollah Khamenei expressed his appreciation for the remarkable achievements of the Naval Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army and for the perseverance, great endeavors and appropriate planning on the part of its commanders.

“The various academies of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army enjoy great significance with respect to their young, motivated and highly talented students. Therefore, every effort should be made to further raise the level of instruction and training offered at these academies,” Ayatollah Khamenei observed.

Further in his statements, the Leader of the Islamic Republic stressed the need to continuously increase the military power of the country’s armed forces. He stated that in the present world, because of the domination exercised by the bullying powers and because of their casting a covetous eye on the national wealth and natural resources of other countries, the power and capabilities of the Iranian armed forces should be raised to such a high level as to discourage and thwart the enemies.

Ayatollah Khamenei referred to certain Western countries’ claim that they advocate peace as an obvious lie and deceit. He also stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran never poses a threat to any other country, but that it will strongly respond to any hostile act or aggression.

“The preparation of the Iranian armed forces at present is such that their response to any hostile act or aggression will cost any aggressor very dearly, and it will surely cause the aggressor to suffer a heavy defeat,” the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces remarked.
