After a lapse of almost two months since the issuance of call-up for entries for the festival, some 80 films and a large number of photos have been submitted to the secretariat.

The deadline for forwarding entries may be extended until February 19, he noted.

Stating that the selected films will compete in the festival, he also said that cash prizes of 20 to 30 million rials will be awarded for the top films while five to ten million rials will be given for the best photos.

Of course, the festival will present several special and valuable cash awards whose amounts will be announced during the festival, he said.

Non-governmental organizations as well as benefactors who were involved in the reconstruction of Bam will also be honored at the event, Atash-Zamzam concluded.
