A meeting of the Russia-NATO council at the level of ambassadors will be held on Wednesday at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Russia’s mission to the alliance has said.

Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze will pay an official visit to France Nov. 24, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a briefing today. During the visit, Vashadze will meet with his French counterpart Bernard Kouchner.

European Parliament gave its backing on Tuesday for €400 million-plus in budget aid to Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Armenia and Georgia. The funds are to help these countries to finance their external balances of payments and state budget deficits.
